The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) report focuses on the impact of alternative fuels on light duty vehicles (LDV), since the driver of smaller vehicles is the primary customer for the convenience store industry. Fuel demand, consumption, and efficiency is particularly important for c-store operators considering that over 70% of c-store revenue is attributable to motor fuel. The following chart details the projected increase in fuel efficiency of LDV’s through 2040.
