The Mercer Capital summer internship program provides interns with exposure to the valuation of business and securities for the purposes of financial reporting, dispute resolution, employee stock ownership plans, and estate planning, among other things. Duties primarily include industry research and internal development projects, such as identifying target industries, evaluating industry opportunities, and developing platforms from which to build expertise. Interns will also have responsibilities and training similar to that of new, full-time analysts, including support of client valuation engagements, company analysis, financial performance analysis, report drafting and other activities.
Mercer Capital uses the internship program as a component of the full-time financial analyst recruiting process. The internship provides an opportunity for candidates to become familiar with Mercer Capital as well as to demonstrate the skills and characteristics Mercer Capital seeks in full-time financial analyst hires.
The creative, intellectual, and entrepreneurial environment at Mercer Capital rewards smart, talented, inquisitive, and self-motivated individuals who are looking for a challenge.
To apply for the summer analyst position, e-mail your resume, cover letter, transcripts (an unofficial transcript is acceptable if an official transcript is unavailable), standardized test scores, and a writing sample to Taryn Burgess. You will receive a response via e-mail within a few days confirming receipt of your applications materials and providing information on what comes next in the recruitment process.
