This is the second in a two-part series on navigating business valuations. The discussion will cover common estate planning valuation issues that have received IRS scrutiny recently as well as ideas to avoid these issues. He will cover issues arising from not following buy-sell agreements, tax-affecting cash flows from pass-through entities, and estate planning transactions amidst business transaction processes. He will also briefly discuss cryptocurrency in charitable gifting and valuation of the rights to carried interest in private equity and hedge funds.
