Lee to Attend The ESOP Association’s 2024 National Conference

Mercer Capital’s Timothy R. Lee, ASA will attend The ESOP Association’s National Conference on May 8-10, 2024 in Washington DC.

Among the important topics of this year’s annual conference is the long-anticipated release of regulatory guidance from the U.S. Department of Labor concerning the definition of adequate consideration.  The DOL’s eminent release of new proposed regulations for public comment will spark significant interest from ESOP stakeholders, and the ultimate outcome of the rule-making process will impact every ESOP in the nation.

Tim is the Managing Director of Corporate Valuation Services and a board member at Mercer Capital. He has over 30 years of experience in valuation and corporate advisory services, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, ownership succession, ESOPs, trust & estate matters, buy-sell matters, dispute resolution, and corporate planning.

In 2011, Tim co-authored the book, A Reviewer’s Handbook To Business Valuation: Practical Guidance To The Use And Abuse Of A Business Appraisal, with L. Paul Hood, Jr., JD, LLM (John Wiley & Sons, Inc.). Tim has contributed numerous chapters, articles, whitepapers, and other content to various associations and organizations including the National Center for Employee Ownership, The ESOP Association, The American Society of Appraisers Educational Foundation, Business Valuation Resources, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, the National Beer Wholesalers Association, and others.
