Mercer Capital is proud to be sponsoring and attending the 2025 AAML National Family Law Conference. The conference will be held April May 15-17, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Mercer Capital’s Karolina Calhoun, CPA, ABV, CFF and Kathryn Burke, CPA are attending.

Karolina Calhoun, Senior Vice President, has been involved with hundreds of valuation and litigation support engagements in a diverse range of industries on local, national, and international levels. Before joining Mercer Capital, Karolina was a Senior Auditor at EY (Ernst & Young) in their Audit and Assurance Services practice. As a member of Mercer Capital’s Litigation Group, she provides valuation and forensics services for family law, gift & estate planning, commercial litigation, transactions (M&A), and further matters related to privately held businesses, dissenting shareholders, intellectual property, personal goodwill, etc. With her forensics accreditation, she provides economic and financial damages studies, asset tracing, lost profits, and lifestyle analyses. Karolina also regularly contributes to Mercer Capital’s Family Law Valuation and Forensic Insights monthly newsletter.

Kathryn Burke is a Senior Financial Analyst with Mercer Capital. Kathryn has valuation and accounting experience in a range of engagements related to litigation support, corporate planning and reorganizations, financial reporting, fairness opinions, employee stock ownership plans, mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift tax planning and compliance matters. She also has forensics and litigation support experience for marital dissolution, economic damages, personal injury, shareholder disputes, general litigation and bankruptcy. This includes experience in a wide range of industries. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Prior to joining Mercer Capital, she was a Senior Consultant at FORVIS, LLP in their Forensics and Valuation Services practice.
