Scott A. Womack, senior vice president of Mercer Capital, is on the agenda to present “Critical Issues in Divorce Valuations” to the Family Law Conference for Tennessee Attorneys in Nashville, Tennessee (December 6th).
Attendees of this two-day event will learn the latest family law updates in Tennessee. Speakers from across the state will address significant developments in the family law area, provide practice tips for Tennessee attorneys, and address a variety of other topics. In Scott’s session, he will address various adjustments used in valuations, how valuation assumptions can influence valuation conclusions, how to determine if the valuation is flawed, and other common valuation issues in litigation.
Scott Womack is active in family law litigation (traditional litigated divorce and collaborative divorce) and corporate valuation and leads Mercer Capital’s Auto Dealer Industry team. Scott assists estate planning attorneys in federal and state valuation matters, family law attorneys in divorce matters (including business valuation, forensic accounting, division of marital estate, etc.), and small business owners involving the potential sale of their businesses. Scott has testified in several jurisdictions involving family law matters. In addition, he has testified in Tax Court. He is a featured speaker for auto dealer industry groups, family law associations, attorneys, accountants, business appraisers, and business professionals on various valuation and financial advisory topics.
