Two Mercer Capital professionals, Scott A. Womack, ASA, MAFF and Karolina Calhoun, CPA/ABV/CFF are participating in a family law seminar sponsored by the Memphis Collaborative Alliance. The event will be held at the Cecil C. Humprey’s School of Law in the Wade Auditorium on Monday, March 18, 2019 (12 PM – 1 PM).
The presentation, “What is Collaborative Law?” is described below.
Collaborative law is a voluntary, contractually-based alternative dispute resolution process for parties who seek to negotiate a resolution of their matter rather than have a ruling imposed upon them by a court or arbitrator. This session will provide an overview of collaborative law and the collaborative process: how is it different from mediation and litigation, who are the professionals involved, and what are their roles in the process?
If you would like to attend this complimentary event, register by emailing Susannah Hutchins.
