Three Mercer Capital professionals will speak at NACVA’s 2025 Business Valuation & Financial Litigation Super Conference on September 11, 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Karolina Calhoun, CPA, ABV, CFF, Senior Vice President, and David W. R. Harkins, CFA, CPA, ABV, CFF will present the session “Getting Personal with Personal Goodwill.”
Z. Christopher Mercer, FASA, CFA, ABAR, Chairman, will address “The Future of the Business Valuation Profession.”
Calhoun and Harkins are members of Mercer Capital’s Litigation Support practice group. Calhoun specializes in valuation, financial forensics, M&A advisory, forensic accounting, damages, and further business and commercial litigation in a diverse range of industries on local, national, and international levels. Harkins has been involved with hundreds of valuation and litigation support engagements in a diverse range of industries on local, national, and international levels. He provides valuation analyses for family law, commercial litigation, gift and estate tax planning, transactions (M&A), fairness and solvency opinions, and employee stock ownership plans (ESOP), among other valuation-related service needs of privately held businesses.
Mercer is the Founder and Chairman of the firm. He began his valuation career in the late 1970s. He has prepared, overseen, or contributed to hundreds of valuations for purposes related to tax, ESOPs, buy-sell agreements, and litigation, among others. He also has extensive experience in litigation engagements, including buy-sell agreement disputes, statutory fair value cases, divorce, and numerous other matters where valuation issues are in question. Chris is a prolific author on valuation-related topics and a frequent speaker on business valuation issues for national professional associations and other business and professional groups.
