Matt Crow to Speak at the 2019 IAA Leadership Conference

Matthew R. Crow, ASA, CFA will participate in the panel discussion “Business Challenges Facing Investment Advisers” at the 2019 Leadership Conference hosted by The Investment Adviser Association (IAA) on September 26th.

In the session, panelists will engage in a discussion of the business challenges that the industry faces. Their conversation will look at industry trends in:

  • M&A;
  • The evolution of the investment adviser firm structure;
  • Broker-dealer movement into the IA space;
  • Investment trends and flows in a less stable economy.

The Investment Adviser Association is a not-for-profit organization that represents the interests of SEC-registered investment adviser firms. The IAA’s rapidly growing membership consists of more than 650 firms that manage $25 trillion in assets for a wide variety of clients, including individuals, trusts, investment companies, private funds, pension plans, state and local governments, endowments, foundations, and corporations.

Matt Crow is the president of Mercer Capital and leads the Investment Management Industry team.  The team provides RIAs, independent trust companies, broker-dealers, and investment consulting firms with valuation services related to corporate planning and reorganization, transactions, employee stock ownership plans, and tax issues as well as valuations of intangible assets, options, and assets subject to specific contractual restrictions. Matt and his team also consult with investment management clients in the process of selling or buying. Matt publishes research related to the investment management industry and is a regular contributor to Mercer Capital’s weekly blog, RIA Valuation Insights.
