As an analyst, you will gain a broad range of corporate finance experience by providing a variety of financial advisory services.

Mercer Capital is an employee-owned business valuation and financial advisory firm. Our clients range from private family-owned businesses to public corporations, from smaller companies to large multinationals across a broad range of industries. In a typical year, we complete approximately 750+ engagements, many of which include the valuation of complex multi-entity organizations. Our services include valuations of businesses and securities for the purpose of financial reporting, employee stock ownership plans, tax planning, transaction consulting, and litigation support.

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Analyzing financial statements
  • Performing industry and company research
  • Preparing due diligence questions for client calls and meetings
  • Participating in client meetings and communications
  • Report writing and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (GPA of 3.5 or higher).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
  • Two to five years of professional experience in economics, mathematics, finance, and/or accounting (preferably in corporate finance, valuation, or a related field).
  • Outstanding writing, quantitative, and communication skills are required. The position is both writing and spreadsheet intensive.
  • Candidates who have progressed toward or attained the CFA, CPA, ASA, ABV, or other professional designations will receive preference.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S., without employer sponsorship, at the time of hire and in the future.
